CULTURAL PARTICIPATION WORKER – PARTICIPATION TEAM

Salary: £35,451 – £39,165 per annum
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

PRINCIPAL MANAGER – LIBRARIES TEAM
Leicestershire Libraries are at the heart of our communities, providing information and advice, activities to improve wellbeing and develop skills, supporting those seeking employment and sharing a love of reading with people of all ages. We are looking an experienced, proactive and flexible Principal Manager to help lead the effective delivery of 16 County Council funded and 34 Community Managed Libraries, a Prison Library and a mobile library service.
Work Location: Wigston Library, Bull Head Street, Wigston, Leicestershire LE18 1PA
Worker Category: Hybrid Worker
Salary: £39,939 – £42,699 per annum
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Creative Practitioner

LEICESTERSHIRE LIBRARIES CHILDREN’S EVENTS PROGRAMME 2026
We are looking to select creative practitioners to deliver workshops, events and activities in July and August 2026, and November 2026. These events will link with music, movement, cultural traditions and creative expression. They should incorporate rhythm, melody, and narrative work to spark imagination and creativity.
We are looking for Creative Practitioners that can:
- Be inclusive and engaging
- Stimulate creativity
- Enable children to participate flexibly according to their needs
- Provide parents/carers with confidence to participate with their child and share skills
- Enhance our existing library programmes including:
- Reading for Pleasure
- The Summer Reading Challenge www.summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/
- Early Years Festival
- Provide risk assessments for their session, DBS, and public liability insurance
- Can provide content for social media
- Can work in partnership with libraries and library staff
