About the Spotlight Case
The spotlight case is a community exhibition case at Charnwood Museum. It’s free for locals, groups, and non-profits to share their stories and connection to Charnwood with others. The project is led by volunteer Community Connectors who are representative of the diversity of communities living in Charnwood. They shape, guide, advise, challenge, inspire, promote, and support this work in partnership with Culture Leicestershire.

Our panel of volunteers has helped develop a process that ensures that this opportunity is accessible to everyone. Through consultation, they have helped to create everything from logos and branding to application forms! They have also commissioned this promotional video which demonstrates how anyone in the community can get involved and use the case:

The Spotlight Case is available for local community groups and individuals to display objects and information that matter to them and that they would like to share with the wider community. Spotlight Case Application Process for 2027
Applications are now closed for Autumn/Winter 2026. Applications for 2027 will be opening in December 2026.
