The Wonders of Nature! We have created a story garden like no other, if you visit our exhibition space you will be able to:
See objects, illustrations and costumes from our museum collection on the theme as nature, as well as our award winning permanent exhibition.
Children aged 4-12 can join the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge. You can find out more about the Summer Reading Challenge and how to join at any Leicestershire Library here.
You can take part in art workshops for children and families to help create our community art display. Jessica Hartshorn will be running weekly workshops. Each week explore a new creative skill and help us create an amazing community art display that will blossom and grow over the summer holidays. ALL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES LISTED BELOW ARE FREE!
About our Artist in Residence
Jessi is a freelance illustrator with extensive experience in cultural and educational settings. She produces bespoke illustrations and runs workshops for a wide range of museums, art galleries and educators.
Together let’s create, inspire and have fun!
You can find us in The Symington Building on Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough , LE16 7LT. The library and museum are accessible by lift and stairs, there is parking, including disabled spaces at the back of the museum. There are accessible toilets, including baby change. We are open 10.00 – 18.00 Monday to Friday and 10.00 – 16.00 on Saturday.

There is currently renovation work being carried out on The Symington Building, the library and museum are open as normal and accessed as normal. This work is being managed by Harborough District Council and expected to last until March 2026.
