Discover the wonder of nature this summer at Market Harborough Library and Harborough Museum!
Wonders of Nature – Market Harborough Library and Harborough Museum

The Wonders of Nature! In the Exhibition Space at Market Harborough Library and Harborough Museum, visitors are treated to objects from our collection, art works and a unique co-created garden developed over the summer holidays with children and families. The whole project was inspired by the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge theme, ‘Story Garden’.
Artist in residence Jessica Hartshorn ran weekly workshops throughout the summer. Each week, children and families explored a new creative skill and helped to create an amazing community art display that blossomed and grew over July and August. You can read more about these workshops by clicking below.

The finished mural and exhibition are on display until Saturday 4 October.
There is currently renovation being carried out on The Symington but the library and museum – located on the first floor – are open and accessed as normal. This work is being managed by Harborough District Council and is expected to last until March 2026.
