Birstall Library Children and Families Projects
We are delighted that Birstall Library is joining Melton Mowbray, Oadby and Shepshed Libraries in the first year of Creative Expressions in Libraries.
We have developed two projects that both aim to provide opportunities for Birstall children and families to get involved in some participatory artwork, with the end goal of co-creating some new and exciting resources for the library that can be used by families for years to come.
Birstall Library Comic Book Project
Over the next few months, our amazing Creative Practitioner will be working with children aged 7-11 years of age to create an exciting comic strip with compelling characters and funny shenanigans.

Birstall Library Puppet Theatre Project
Led by a professional puppeteer, we will be co-creating a puppet theatre for the library with local community groups.
