Oadby Multi-sensory Project for 0-4 year olds

Oadby Library is excited to be working with artist Sophie Mahon who has been commissioned to work with local children aged 0-4 and their caregivers to create a permanent multisensory artwork or resources for the library. Sophie will be delivering a series of 3 workshops to Oadby families in February 2024 on the themes of sound, light and touch or story;   working with participants to shape the final outcome. Sessions will be taking place on Mondays and Tuesdays. Dates and timings to be confirmed but if you are interested in taking part please email Macha from the Culture Leicestershire team to register your interest: macha.barnden@leics.gov.uk.

On Tuesday 29th November, Sophie was joined by over 15 families for a fantastic taster day, where they had the chance to try  a range of touch-based activities. The session was a great chance for families to get a flavour of what to expect from the workshops. Check out the video below to find out what we got up to and how to get involved!
