Making Leicestershire My Home
Reflecting the Histories, Interests and Aspirations of the People who have made the County their Home.
Our project focusses on reflecting the histories, experiences and contributions of people who have made Leicestershire their home over thousands of years and how this continues to shape the culture of where we live today.
We will do this through a programme of showcasing our existing museum and archive collections, outreach art and wellbeing sessions with communities and Museum exhibitions, co-created by local people working with a range of creative practitioners.
There will be activities in spaces and places across our communities including libraries, museums and cultural hubs alongside opportunities to volunteer with the project in a variety of roles.
All of our teams from across Culture Leicestershire will be involved and we’re excited to harness the skills, experiences and stories of our staff, volunteers and creative practitioners to help shine a light on modern Leicestershire in the context of its own rich and varied history.
