Culture to You

An exciting new service which will provide a range of cultural assets for individuals and groups with different access challenges to choose and use where they live, work and play.

These will be made available as loans for people to have in their homes, care environments, specialist centres, community hubs and places of work.

As part of the NPO funding two new posts were created to support the development and delivery of Culture to You. We’re excited to share that these posts have now been recruited to.

A big welcome to…

Development of Culture to You Menu.

We are currently working closely with colleagues from the Creative Learning Service to begin to develop the cultural menu. Over 100 pieces of artwork has been identified as options to be included within the offer. Consideration of the diverse interest and needs of clients, alongside suitability to display in individuals’ homes were key to the decision-making process.

The team have catalogued these, recording key information such as: art medium, theme, weight, height and current condition. Themes include: nature, abstract, mixed media, landscape, seaside, working life, portrait, spiritual and fantasy.

As a next step we will be exploring the Resource Box and Held in Hand collections to finalise a list of suitable assets to use from these.
