The Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling

If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.

‐ J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.

‐ Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.

‐ J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

What is the book about?

It is about an orphaned and neglected boy discovering a world of magic. He finds family and learns that with the support of loved ones he is able to defeat every darkness.

What was good about it?

Being able to grow and understand the world with Harry. The wonders and magic in everything and ultimately that it was his Mother’s love that saved him.

What didn’t you like? (If anything)

A certain character dying *(this has been edited to prevent spoilers!)

Did it bring something positive to you?

The whole series was thoroughly entertaining. It covers so much, from life to death, love and loss, good and evil. I think each character has elements that each of us can see in ourselves and push us to reflect on how we could be better.

Would you recommend it to others? Why?

Absolutely. It paints the world in a simpler light and just makes you want to be a better person WWHD? (What would Harry do?)
