Community Spotlight Exhibition Case
Local people tell their stories
The aim of this project is to help ensure local people are made aware of and can make meaningful use of the free community exhibition case at Charnwood Museum. We want to find new ways of reaching out to people and support them to use the ‘Spotlight Case’ in ways that work for them.
Local people make the choices
The project is led by volunteer Community Connectors who are representative of the diversity of communities living in Charnwood. They will shape, guide, advise, challenge, inspire, promote, and support this work.
The panel of volunteers are working hard to help develop a process that ensures that this opportunity is accessible to everyone. Through consultation they have helped to create everything from logos and branding to applications forms! They have even commissioned a promotional video which will hopefully inspire local people to apply to use the space.
Loughborough Wellbeing Centre
Amazing participants from ‘Stitching Well Group’ have kindly been testing this new opportunity for us and their wonderful community curated exhibition was really well received by visitors. To find out more about Loughborough Wellbeing Centre visit – https://www.thewellbeingcafe.org/
A dedicated webpage is currently being developed where people can find out more information about applying and see examples of exhibitions created by other local community groups – so watch this space.
