Harborough 2025/26 Feedback Questionnaire
Your Museum and Library Needs You!
We’d love to hear your thoughts on our current services and what you’d like to see in the future. Your feedback will help us shape and improve what we offer to better serve our community.
As a thank you, you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win one of four £25 High Street vouchers, just leave your email at the end of the survey!
Why now?
Over a decade ago, the library and museum reopened in the beautifully refurbished Symington Building, creating a unique shared space. Since then, our town and surrounding areas have grown and changed in many ways. Now, we want to hear from you—whether you’re a regular visitor, someone who hasn’t been in a while, or have never visited at all.
Ways to get involved:
Join a focus group for a deeper conversation. We will be holding 3 focus groups, there will be a short tour of the library and museum, followed by refreshments and a discussion led by Sarah Carter, an experienced evaluator who does not work in the library or museum.
These focus groups are open to everyone; regular users, new users or non-users are all welcome. We will be exploring what the library and museum currently does and how it can serve the community going forward, what barriers they are for people and what creative and cultural activity people want in the future.
If you would like to join a focus group and have additional access needs please contact helen.murray@leics.gov.uk to discuss how we can support you to participate.
Dates:
Wednesday 21st January 6pm-8pm
Thursday 29th January 1pm-3pm
Saturday 31st January 10.30am -12.20pm
book your place via Eventbrite.
Try something creative!

For the first time, we’re partnering with local company Koolgigs to gather feedback through creative activities. This is a great opportunity for those who prefer something more hands-on than traditional surveys.
Look out for us in the market and shopping centre in the lead-up to Christmas! Just turn up, no booking required. They will be telling the story of the library and museum, past, present and future (can you spot the Christmas theme?), with lots of interactive elements, Christmas songs with a twist and a future shaped by the audience!
Dates for Koolgigs:
28th November 5.45 onwards in the Market Hall, Market Harborough
13th December 10.30am onwards in the Market Hall, Market Harborough
20th December 2pm onwards, Market Harborough Library and Harborough Museum
Bespoke engagement and Outreach Visits
We are also visiting lots of groups in the Harborough area. If you work with a group who might find it hard to engage with our survey and should have their voice heard please contact helen.murray@leics.gov.uk to arrange a bespoke engagement session or outreach visit.
