Celebrating 800 Years of Loughborough Market and Fair
2021 marked 800 years of Loughborough Market and Fair, and events and exhibitions took place throughout the year to celebrate this, including exhibitions at Charnwood Museum, Loughborough Library, and Loughborough Town Hall.
Resources and Support – Curriculum-linked FREE lesson plan
To support this project, Leicestershire’s Creative Learning Services are providing a FREE Curriculum-linked lesson plan for both Key Stages 1 and 2, with information about the history of the market and fair compiled by Loughborough Local Studies Group. This includes a PowerPoint presentation showcasing images that have been collected by our Community Curator Volunteers, and inspiration for creating imaginative responses to this exciting theme.
